Being sick in India is never that much fun for me....but sick and preggo?!? Oh My! It has been almost 3 weeks and I have some weird lingering cold that has turned into a sinus infection (I'm pretty sure) My OB doctor is a LONG way away so last time we were in Delhi we stopped by and had her write down all the meds I can take...if I have to take them.
Today I gave in. I went to get some sinus infection meds and had tons of errands to do at the mall. The whole time my eyes are watering, my nose is running, I'm sneezing and it seemed like every Indian friend I have was there to greet me today. Of course I got bombarded with questions like, "What have you done?" "Why are you so sick?" and "Are you taking medicine?" and then I got the advice..."You must not drink cold beverages when it is hot outside. This is what is making you sick." "You must not go to Delhi and return to Shimla in one day. This is bad for your health." "You must take care of yourself these days. You have a baby now to take care of. You cannot be sick like this." OH BLESS!!! ;)
Needless to say, I tend to dread these conversations at times...especially times like these! Levi is gone this week and I would be with him but he stresses out so much when I am not feeling well that I felt this may one of those times where we are better apart!
Despite feeling yucky, the Lord has greatly blessed us lately! Here are some amazing things He has done for us!
1. Somehow our shower has been working since my brother was here! It has not worked since we moved in! Praise The Lord! You have no idea what a blessing it is to get a shower instead of a bucket bath. Thank you Lord!
2. It is fruit season and I love fruit! We have been so blessed to have so many fruits in Shimla. It is awesome!
3. BIGGEST BLESSING: We get to go to Thailand! We leave the end of the week to try and change our visa. Total surprise and total blessing! We still won't be able to find out the sex of the baby (too early) but we will be able to eat some beef and enjoy the good life for a few days! We really need this vacation and totally feel it is a gift from the Lord. Also, if our visa thing works out, then we can have freedom to leave the country again! YAY!!! Just that freedom is so sweet to have!
yay for being 9 weeks! I love it.
ReplyDeleteI'm so to hear that you guys are going to get to go on vacation. The Lord blesses those who honor Him and wait! Enjoy every second of it, and eat some beef for us.
