5 weeks...really?

Yep, 5 weeks tomorrow! It is so funny how these days seem to pass so slowly when he is having gas pains, is up in the night, or is struggling to sleep....then, all of a sudden I realize he is already 5 weeks old! Amazing how this stuff works! He is an amazing little boy. I struggle with the whole feeding thing. As I have gone to the Lord about it, I am reminded of the extra time I can spend in prayer as Wyatt eats. These days with my little sister Emily having her twins and a few other big prayer needs, it has kept me occupied. But praying over Wyatt has to be my favorite. Just begging the Lord to guide each step in his life, and to guide us as we help him take those steps! I will try to write some of the weird lessons I learn through being a mom. Here is the first:

Bath time: Wyatt hates it, I love it. He cries the whole time, but he is so clean afterwards. I feel that one day after this time, the Lord reminded me that tough times in our lives are times when we are being cleansed. John 15 talks about the branches being pruned. We cry through it, we hate it, we don't understand....but we leave the situations a little bit different than before. I praise the Lord for these "bath times" in my life.

These pictures crack me up! Levi took them while we were running out the door one day. Definitely not Wyatt's best poses!
